Game Sytesm:  Earthdawn 3rd ED

I'm looking to fill out my group a little.  I've lost 2 members due to various reasons (RL mainly) and looking to fill out the group.  Currently the group isn't in a great spot for new characters so I'm looking for the new players to take over existing characters for a bit.  Once the group gets back to town new PC's can make up new characters.

One of the main limitations in character creation you should know is that I don't allow x2 of the same Discipline so you'll have to choose one that isn't being used.  I am allowing some Disciplines from Cathay books on a case by case basis.  I also only want 1 Obsidiman or Windling in the group.  We currently have a Windling so no other Windling or Obsidiman will be allowed.

Earthdawn – Age of Legend:
This is a time of magic, a time of legend where things once dreamed of are a reality.  The horrors which once ruled the world are no longer bound to the world we know it and are pulling back to their astral realms.  It is now our time to reclaim the land that was once ours.

The year is 1450 and the Therans have declared war on Barsaive.  Many people view the war as necessary, others as foolish with the horrors still abounding in most places and others as inconsequential to other requirements like food, water and shelter.  There have been rumors T’skrang House K’tenshin has awaken and reports of T’skrang House Henghyoke have been spotted on the Serpent River.  Evil is awake and well in Barsaive and I’m not just talking about the horrors.  The land needs hero now like no other time.  Are you a hero; will you answer the call?

Game Information:
This will be a 3rd Edition game with several house rules I’m implementing.
Only one Windling or Obisidiman will be allowed in the game; these races are very rare.  First come first serve.

Game Intro:
No one knows why the Cathay Dragon 'Lorekeeper' left Cathay, but she left several years before the Scourge started.  She knew of the danger that was coming and left Cathay with her children and treasures.  Building her own temple facing the East inside the mountain northest of where Urupa now stands. Lorekeeper settle her people into the mountainside and closed the doors when the Horrors first appeared.
1435 Lorekeeper determined it was safe to leave the Kaer but choose to continue to live in the temple, for she had grown affectionate of her lair. After the Temple of Dawn Wind was opened, the people descended the mountain forming the village Serenity (pop 850).
Living only a week's walk or 4 days ride from Urupa, the village did well fishing, mining and harvesting timber from the local forest.  The people have flourished and children born into a budding new village and a better time.

The current year is 1450.
