Star Trek: Arcadia

Space, the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the starship Arcadia.
It's continuing mission:  To explore strange new worlds,
To seek out new life and new civilizations,
To go boldly where no one has gone before.

It is 2387.  It has been 12 years since the end of the Dominion War.  The Romulan Star Empire, still recovering from political disarray following Shinzon's coup in 2379, has been dealt what very well might be a killing blow when the Hobus star went supernova, destroying Romulus and a few other star systems in the Star Empire.

Anticipating an increase in demand, the Seventh Fleet has requisitioned several ships to add to service.  The Steamrunner-class USS Arcadia is one of those ships.

You have all been ordered to the Beta Antares Shipyard in the Antares Sector to take command of the ship and embark on its shakedown voyage before reporting to the Seventh Fleet.

Re: Star Trek: Arcadia

The USS Arcadia still has openings for several more crew.

Captain Melnika has expressed a special interest in recruiting an Executive Officer and a Chief Medical Officer, but we're also looking for Chief Tactical and Chief Science Officers, as well as countless junior positions.

Stop in and take a look around.

If you're interested in just lurking, you're welcome to do that as well.

Also looking for someone to take over the Chief Engineer character.  She's a Human who was raised by Tellarites.

Come check us out.

It's so easy to make a character and get started, and the game system is as easy as you'd like to make it.

Re: Star Trek: Arcadia

The game is going very strong, and there are lots of opportunities to play.  Come check out our story so far thread to find out what's going on in the galaxy, and what's going on with the Arcadia.

We've got plenty of positions open, including:

  • Operations Officers
Are you looking for a career involving transporters, tractor beams, communications, data processing, logistics, and/or mission operations management?  Then look no further, the USS Arcadia needs you!  Includes plenty of bridge time opportunities, including manning the Main Operations and/or Support Operations stations.
  • Security Officers
Help maintain law and order in the galaxy.  No longer stigmatized by the "red shirt" syndrome, these gold shirted heroes of Starfleet are in charge of ordnance, running patrols, and protecting the crew.  You may even get to man the Tactical Station on the bridge from time to time.
  • Science Officers
Physics, Astrometrics, Geology, Computer Science, Advanced Sensors Analysis, Xenobiology, and more.  The Arcadia is looking for a few good Scientists to help solve the mysteries of the Universe.  Not only can you be the guy with the Tricorder on away missions, but you might even get a chance to man the Science station on the bridge now and then.
  • Engineering Officers
Stuff breaks down, and you're the one to fix them.  Do you want to learn the ins and outs of cutting edge military technology?  Come on to the Arcadia as an Engineering Officer and learn every system aboard the advanced Steamrunner-Class vessel.  You'll probably be too busy patching stuff up to find time to man the Engineering station on the bridge, but you'll be welcome there anyway.
  • Flight Conn Officers
Come let us give you the keys to the newest and most advanced Steamrunner Class starship in Starfleet.  Not only will you be called upon to set at the Conn station on the bridge, but, thanks to your Command Department status, they may even let you sit in the big chair -- if no one else is available.  The best thing about the job?  When the Captain says "Engage", she'll be talking to you!
  • Diplomatic Officers
Do you like strange cultures and alien civilizations?  Are you interested in making peace, or expanding the Federation's influence through peace and exploration?  Do you like to study languages, etiquette, and complicated interstellar law?  Would you like to be the one to make First Contact with new species?  The Arcadia has a place for you!
  • Medical Officers
Does the thought of working in a hospital bore you?  Do you want the opportunity to go into harms way, and to put your training to use on people with REAL injuries?  Do you hope for the opportunity to provide medical assistance to strange new aliens, or to help cure exotic space plagues?  Then you belong on the Arcadia.  Sign up now.
  • And Much Much More
Other positions include Quartermaster, Shuttlebay Manager, Nurses, Yeomans, Security Team Specialists, System Specialists, Security Team Members, and Technicians.

Also looking for someone to take over the Chief Engineer character.  She's a Human who was raised by Tellarites.
