The Necropolis (Pathfinder)

We spun like birds on fire right down towards the residence and I
I took all that I desired, even crooks have to pay the rent
We swam like rats on fire right, right down the reservoir
We took all that we could carry but we tried to carry more
  - King Rat, Modest Mouse

Osirion is a dwindling power with a glorious past. To help his country in the present the current pharaoh, Khemet the III, mortgages the peace and wealth of the ancestors that came before him. Adventuring companies have been given state permission to delve deep and bring old grave goods into the light of day. This in turn brings in scholars, private collectors, financial collectives, special interest groups to support and develop infrastructure around the trade of relics. A booming new industry of which the administrators of Wati, a local church of Pharasma, strongly disapprove.

Khemet, however, will not be denied.

By royal decree the riches of Wati's necropolis will be made available to the tomb raiders and the church can either preside over the process themselves to ensure some measure of decency is preserved or be forced to step aside and watch powerless; As bitter a pill it is to swallow the church leadership chose the former.

This opportunity has the Pathfinder Society sitting up and taking notice and they have sponsored five aspirant's passage across the Inner Sea to participate in the treasure hunt.

Do not send a full character sheet to start
Firstly a statement of age. This will be an adult game so title your RTJ with the following

Statement: I am <years> years old, born on <day>/<month>/<year>.  It is legal for me to view adult content in my current place of residence.

Please send in a brief one or two paragraph character concept. Not a full sheet with stats. I won't be inviting applicants for five days to avoid that rushed fill some PF games suffer. Happy to answer any questions before then.

Level 1 start
15 Points to spend on attributes as described on P15 of the Core Rulebook.
Using these sources: Core, Advanced Race, Player & Class guides, Ultimate Combat/Magic/Equipment, Pathfinder Unchained, Ultimate Psionics (but only the Psion class & blue goblins or duergars as additional race options), The Mummy's Mask Player's Guide.
No summoners or gunslingers.
Two starting traits not of the same category.
Max Starting gold

Here are the traits of this adventure, allowing you to submit a character that will feel effective and have their own heroic moments in the sun:

• Follows the adventure path of The Half-Dead city. A heads up so you can avoid spoiling yourself accidentally or a second chance to those that have TPK'd on this adventure to try it again.

• Crypt exploration, old school kick-in-the-door style spelunking amid constricted hallways.  Good for front line warriors who can block, control and restrict enemy movements.

• Fewer breathing humanoids than the average adventure. Enchantment and to a lesser extent illusion will be less effective.

• Looting. The party will need the best gear it can kit itself out with the gold it has to survive. Need people who can look around and know what to take and what to discard. Sagely knowledge and spells will be of use.

• The environment is arid, not verdant, and a good portion of time will be spent underground which might make playing a druid or ranger less enjoyable. The heat will be an issue and the desert expansive so don't count what they might bring to the table.

• Undead feature more than the average campaign. Know when to run, swap weapons and change tactics. Divine power sources see more mileage.

• Managing bureaucracy and dealing with the living half of the necropolis. One or two of the party who can represent the party in different areas would not be wasting social skills.

• Neutral alignment tone. Extremely zealous and crusading good and evil concepts will feel marginalized. This is a tale that starts with trying to score big and making your (mis)fortune.

The Necropolis (Pathfinder)

Looking for an extra player to replace a non-poster. Just about finished with the AP introduction and about to start the delving; a great time to retcon a fresh character in!

We have a Brawler, Bard, Inquisitor and Sorcerer.
