In 2015 the Colony ship ‘ESS-Redemption’ left Earth’s orbit to begin its long term search for a new habitable planet for the last humans alive after the Event. The Event had claimed the lives of 60% of humanity in 200 hours, and by the time ‘Project Ark’ had been activated estimations were closer to 85% dead. Those that could bought, begged, stole, or killed for a stasis pod on the Redemption so they could leave the dying planet for good.

Except that’s not what happened, exactly 1100 days into the voyage the Redemption’s auto-pilot reversed course. 2200 days after the ship was launched it sat in Earth’s orbit once more and fired all the stasis pods down to the planet they had left.

You land alone, 6 years and 10 days after you were put into stasis, on a planet that should be dead.

Restarting
