Hey no problem with the response, I tend not to check back here until the week's up as I can't bump it more often than that but there's no harm done! Don't worry, HouseJohnson (the actual GM, I just run the game ad) does a really good job of giving new players introductions and storylines that fit their skill level without feeling useless. Typically, any conflicting magical or mystical abilities are treated like countermagic, you roll against their successes and it can essentially negate another effect, depending on what is going on of course. And yes, most anything can be discussed, depending on what you want, something might be able to be worked out. As far as game-changingly powerful entities, most of them exist as far as we know, but they very rarely have any influence on the world, although I'm sure if we get too powerful, something big and ancient might come out of the shadows to screw with us.
Any further questions can always be asked in an RTJ! We're always willing to discuss things with new players.
