Removing game from sticky list doesn't work like FAQ says

/help/content.cgi?t=faqs&page=beginnersfaq says, "You can remove games from the Sticky List by clicking on the little box with the minus sign beside that game's name." I don't have any little boxes with a minus sign on either the main home screen or the sticky list.

However, and this is a little weird, when I go into User Preferences then click "Manage the games you monitor" to get my "Manage Your Sticky List/New Message Indicators", selecting a game then clicking the "Clear The Selected Message Indicators" button removes the game from my sticky list.  There is a note underneath that says, "This will remove the game from the sticky list", so maybe that button should change from "Clear the selected message" to simply "remove game" or something.

Your "Sticky List" is the list of "Games You Play In & Peruse", "RPoL Forums You Peruse", and "Games You Own" that you see when you log in to RPoL.

On the very right side of the column that lists the game/forum name should be one of these.

Before the column breaks and the column for the "GM" begins.

It is an image link, so perhaps a browser setting is blocking the image?

As for the "Clear The Selected Message Indicators", that could maybe be a bit clearer in terms of function if it does in fact both remove a game and clear the new message indicator at the same time.  Granted, I don't know how much use that function gets vs visiting said game/forum and clicking the "Mark all as Read" link, so perhaps it's not worth the trouble.

A picture is worth a thousand words: http://i9.photobucket.com/albu...reen_zpswbrp2xvx.png

As far as I know, I don't have anything that will block any images.  I do have my browser set to block 3rd party cookies, but I don't get a notification that RPoL is setting any cookies, let alone trying to set a 3rd party cookie or why that would affect one particular image.

Actually, those plus/minus signs are there.  They're just hard to see in your color scheme.

Change your scheme for a minute to see where they are, and change it back and I bet you can find them.  :-)

I can see them just barely in your pic, but playing with the contrast also helps.

I doubt it's related to the issue, but Adblock Plus gives the option to block elements on some things, and the minus sign happens to be one of them.

I can see the plus/minus signs on the screen shot, especially if I take the image and play with the contrast.  :-)

Yeah, I was saying my comment was probably not related to the issue, but it was an outside possibility.

I *think* it is like that because if you are a member of a game, you can use that functionality to "Clear The Selected Message Indicators" - and the game will disappear from your sticky list/main menu - but ONLY until a new message is posted in that game, after which it will re-appear!  You can't effectively remove yourself from a game (not forum) any more - you need to get the game GM/owner to do it for you.  Clearing the messages indicators only appears to remove it temporarily.

Re: Removing game from sticky list doesn't work like FAQ says

the problem I'm having in this situation is as follows.

I have already asked to be removed from a game I was allowed Lurker status, the GM says he did so, but  the system still sends them to me.
  no idea now.

In reply to Squidcv41 (msg # 10):

If it has been at least a full week since you sent your request to be removed, please send an rMail to the Site Moderators, with the name of the game, and a link to the thread where you requested removal, and we will remove you from the game.
