<a> tags for players

I slightly understand why players might not be allowed to post anchor tags generally, but I'm in a game where I trust my players. Our bard would often like to post links to music that would be similar or appropriate to the circumstances. A full url in the post is unacceptably “out-of-game” for an in-game post. An inline link would be far better. (An <object> would be even better, but that's a whole other ball of security worms.)

I think the GM should be able to give players the ability to use anchor tags without giving them full GM access (which lets them see the secret things that must remain secret :) ).

Re: <a> tags for players

The player could send it to you and you could edit the post with the proper anchor tag.

It's frustrating, but is a "full link" really that distracting at the end of a post?  We do that a lot in my games, both where I GM and where I don't, if someone wants to reference a picture that would be too large to put in a post or a video with music in it and no one has complained about it in the past.

Re: <a> tags for players

Wrap the full link in Spoiler tags, then it's not visible unless you hover over it. :>
