Feature Request

Ok, I've noticed that once you make a post, if you go back and edit the post, you can't see posts further upthread as you did when you originally typed the post. This can be a problem if you wanted to add something into your post from a previous post you made, but having too many tabs will cause your browser to make your original edit window to go blank. Would it be too difficult to show previous posts in the edit window as is done in the original compose window?

Re: Feature Request

It might be helpful to also see other posts a short ways after it, so that your edits don't end up screwing with the plot progression or something

Re: Feature Request

+1 from me too.  Often wanted to see the context of the posts on either side (but especially before) when editing a post.

To clarify, +1 to see the posts immediately before an edited post (similar to reply/new message composing screen), +0.5 to see any posts that have been posted since the edited post.  The latter part I see as good, but much harder and possibly confusing to display on screen whilst editing, given the current protocol of showing the posts that were before a new post in reverse order when composing a new message.

(Hope I haven't made it too confusing - hard to articulate what is essentially a simple concept!)

Re: Feature Request

I'm not nearly as picky about subsequent posts, I just really think being able to see previous posts could definitely help.

Re: Feature Request

I agree with this one. I often have the thread open in another tab when I do this.

Re: Feature Request

+1 from me.

I usually have to have two tabs or windows open to refer back to other posts.

It's actually my poor internet connection. It goes for any of numerous browsers I've had in the past.

I run into this on Safari and Chrome for ios.  +1 for me, too.

Re: Feature Request

Gonna throw a +1 if it shows posts after as well, +0.5 if only posts before. Either way I think it could be cool, but the after thing seems fairly important to me, though perhaps far harder to code.
