Adult and public

Public threads are usually used for rules and RTJ info.

In an adult game unless you are signed up you can't see anything in any thread though.

I was thinking sense public threads are GM only, they could be non-adult and viewable. The same rules would apply though for non adult games in those threads. This way GMs could put RTJ, story info, and char creation stuff where everyone can see it.

Re: Adult and public

That's not correct.

You can see any thread in Adult games that is in Group 0 or Public, just like you can in any other game.

In adult games, any 'adult' content must be in a private group, but content not considered adult is viewable if the GM puts it in either of those groups.

Re: Adult and public

It's covered in help, so if you forget you can reference it there :-)

Under help > Games > Threads and Messages > Thread Groups.

Public: Only the GM can post to Public threads, but all users of RPoL can read them.

Group 0: Only GMs and characters in group 0 can read and post to Group 0, but all visitors can read it.

That means people need to be logged into RPoL to read Public threads (RPoL users), but anyone can read Group 0 threads (visitors).
