RPOL Wiki Editing

Lets say I started building my Wiki for my game and I later decided to restructure the pages.  Is it possible to rename, or move pages?

Lets say I started with a

Game
+ Rules
+ + Resources
+ + House Rules
+ Nations
+ + Nation 1
+ + Nation 2
+ + Etc.
+ Misc

as an initial structure, but say I wanted to change it around some and move the Nations article under a Setting article, so it would look like this?

Game
+ Rules
+ + Resources
+ + House Rules
+ Setting
+ + Regions
+ + + Region 1
+ + + Region 2
+ + + Etc.
+ + Nations
+ + + Nation 1
+ + + Nation 2
+ + + Etc.
+ + Races
+ + + Race 1
+ + + Race 2
+ + + Etc.
+ Misc

Is it possible to move these articles, or do we have to create new articles and copy the data.  Then how do we delete the old articles?  I know we can unlink them, but does that really delete them?

Is there any way to see what old pages have gotten unlinked for some reason in the past, so we can choose to delete them, or link them back in where they belong?  I suppose a GM being able to see a recycle bin or lost and found page that would show unlinked or deleted pages in a list might be useful?

Re: RPOL Wiki Editing

There is no trouble moving a page. This is because all pages are at the same level.

There's no real hierarchy for sub pages. Whenever you use the page's "real" name in a link, it will go to that page no matter where the link is.

Re: RPOL Wiki Editing

Well, technically it does actually make a folder structure on the server, but it doesn't really matter.  Hyperlinks are just.. links.. so you can have a link in "Nations" called "Nations 1" that's pointing to "/Nations/Nations 1" or "/Some_old_page/Nations A".

Moving pages is a tricky beast, because when you move a page you're not changing any existing references (links) to it, which can make existing links not work (without redirectors).

Re: RPOL Wiki Editing

So for the time being just using a flat structure, I can re-arrange things rather easily until I decide on one.  I am still a little curious if there is a way as a GM to see all of the Wiki pages that are defined.  (in case one gets unlinked and lost)  Also is there is a way as a GM or owner to delete a page (and its history) that is no longer needed, so it saves on the storage.

It might also be nice to be able to as a GM/Owner to potentially delete some versions of pages if they got edited and were either deemed inaccurate or had inappropriate information put in it. (after a confirmation of course)
