Warhammer test dice system

Can you add this dice system?
Desk: 1d100 rolled against target, each 10 over counts as degree of failure, each under - as degree of success.

Would also work for the warhammer 40k games.

And save energy on my calculator.

Re: Warhammer test dice system

No, it's (Target Number - Dice Roll) / 10, rounded toward 0. Positives are a success, negatives a failure.

Re: Warhammer test dice system

The first 0-9 difference in positive is a simple success. Then after that it are degrees of success per full 10 difference

The other way around its a simple failure and then degrees of failure.

So with TN 50
ect
70-79 2 Degrees of Failure
60-69 1 Degree of Failure
51-59 Simple Failure
41-50 Simple Success
31-40 1 Degree of Success
21-30 2 degrees of Success
ect

Re: Warhammer test dice system

The default number is dependent on the related skill so doesn't have a real default number.

Re: Warhammer test dice system

Well i gave the Test a spin and only ran into one thing that will keep me from using it as a GM

It allows me to roll multiple dice but only ever lists the result of one dice. Maybe it needs an error message that only one dice roll is allowed? Or list all the dice rolls in the log? The last option though a clutter might make it viable again as a gm.

for single rolls its awesome and a good job done!

Re: Warhammer test dice system

As far as I was aware it was always 1d100, so it ignores whatever dice numbers you fill in.  System settings take precedence, it's the same if you select RoleMaster etc.

Re: Warhammer test dice system

Right never used those so i am unfamiliar with that. I come from multiple dice systems usually.

But its doing a great job for single dice roll things like skill checks and the like. Me as Math disaster loves it.

Re: Warhammer test dice system

One more potetnial addtion? When rolling an attack its important to also know the actual number rolled to determine hit location. And though i have record each dice marked for normal dice rolling it gets unmarked when i switch to warhammer test.

Can the actual roll be defaulted into the dice log?

Re: Warhammer test dice system

Sure.  In the interim if you're the GM then configure the dice roller to record individual dice.

Re: Warhammer test dice system

Its my Heart and i can eat it when i want to!! Though hit locations would be nice all warhammer core books have a different table.

I have set the record each dice as a default but it takes it out when you swap to warhammer test. Noticed the change though and hopped by to say Awesome job i love it.

Already a few players have been mutilated by the new setting ;-) Thanks.
