Would it be possible to allow GMs to view/preview a post or thread as a character instead of a GM? It would let them make sure the post looks the way they want it to from the characters' perspective. A simple "view as character" button on threads and "preview as character" button when posting with a drop down list of the characters who can view the thread would be easy to use.

+1 from me.  I stopped using private lines because I typo the player names too often.  When you do it wrong, the player doesn't know he's missed anything, and the GM can't easily tell they messed up.

I'm guilty of those typos too, but to my mind it's easier to use the existing functionality to add PLs using the dropdown list than it is to type 'em manually and preview, so -0 from me.  I prefer shortcut keys to menus generally, but I should get in the dropdown habit since jase has already done the hard work for me. ;>

Besides, as GM I tend to compose my larger updates offline in a word processor so I can save 'em as I go and not lose them if my system chucks a wobbly.

Back on topic... I won't go into the Mobile debate since it's been made clear that RPoL is (and will continue to be) only designed for desktops.  However, I hate using a mouse.  Short of tables*, I typically type out all my RuBB code.  It's just faster that way.

Having a "Preview As" pull down next to the "Preview" and "Post Message" would allow GMs to easily tell that their Secret, Private, and Language sections display correctly.

I'm definitely in favor of this.  I think I gave it a +1 in the other place it was mentioned, but I might as well do so here too.
