Ars Magica stress die

Any chance we can have an Ars Magica stress die in the die roller?

An Ars stress die is a d10. An initial 0 means a botch check must be made -- the botch check is some number of d10s looking for more zeros, which depends on the situation, so I wouldn't have it actually check for a botch. If there is no botch, the die roll is a 0.

If the die is 1, that means to reroll and double the result. Two 1s on a roll mean 4x, then 8 and so forth. If a 0 is rolled after any number of 1s, it counts now as 10.

Any other initial roll counts as its value.

There are a bunch of Ars games out there, which having this die would help.

Re: Ars Magica stress die

Not that it couldn't be done...

But a handheld d10 has numbers 0-9, where 0 is interpreted as a 10.
The dice roller has 1-10, no zeros.

Just wanted to point that out. Either way, coding it into the roller is quite possible (if jase deems it so)

Re: Ars Magica stress die

This look right?
quote:
You rolled 0 (possible botch) with the Ars Magica stress die ((0)).
You rolled 6 with the Ars Magica stress die ((6)).
You rolled 18 with the Ars Magica stress die (({1}9)).
You rolled 16 with the Ars Magica stress die (({1,1}4)).
You rolled 80 with the Ars Magica stress die (({1,1,1}10)).
