Star Wars

 Greetings,

I am a long time rper, with decades of experience under my belt.

I am seeking to scratch my Star wars Rping itch. I seek a solo or no more then two other players campaign. Said campaign would take place in the Star Wars universe.

I seek to rp a bounty hunter, Smuggler,Assassin,Enforcer, etc. The time frame could br Republic or the Empire. Actually rping a criminal during the Republic might be very interesting. But I am up for just about anything.

 Thank you for your time.

For any particular rule set (and if so, which), or freeform? Also, which Republic? Old or New?

I am willing to try a system  or freeform. I know some of the rules are free on- line. As to old or new Republic, I am flexible.  But to be honest, my knowledge of new Republic is limited, but I can roll with one or the other.

I've started a Fate Accelerated Star Wars game (if you don't know Fate Accelerated, that's okay, almost no one else in the game does either) that might interest you. The game had a lot of interest so I'm actually running two groups, one of which is a scrappy band of prisoners making their escape from a penal asteroid during an attack by unknown assailants, so it sounds like your concept might fit right in.

We are set in the New Republic era of a slightly Alternate Universe, mostly because I didn't want to run anything Disney created and I know almost nothing about the Star Wars expanded universe. lol

If you want to give us a look, just do a quick search for Star Wars - Fate of the Galaxy (FAE).

The Edge of the Empire game by FFG might be your cuppa. It focuses on the fringers, scoundrels, bounty hunters, and otherwise decent folk who are down on their luck. No Rebellion, and the only nod toward Jedi is a Force-sensitive outcast. Ostensibly, it's set right after Episode IV, between the destruction of the first Death Star and the Battle of Hoth. So the Empire would be ever-present, and even more paranoid than usual.

The system would easily support a pair of players (I wouldn't recommend going strictly solo). Play it like a buddy movie, but in space, and being unethical.

I could see if I can dig up some 2-player-friendly scenarios, or just run it off the cuff.

Greetings LonePaladin. FYI, I like rping paladins as well. But I digress.

Thank you for offering to GM a game of Star Wars. Edge of the Empire. Is that available for free on the internet, by chance?

No, but there are several webpages and YouTube videos that explain how the rules work. And I expect to have to teach the rules, so that won't be a problem.

There's a die-roller built in here that handles the custom dice; I helped troubleshoot it.

Well, I'd be sticking with the core concepts in EoTE -- fringers and scoundrels and the like, trying to get out of debt and make a profit. The only things I legitimately own are the core rulebook and the starter box. The latter has a nice scenario for teaching the rules, and even has a follow-up adventure, with the end result giving the group ownership of a tramp freighter.

So if you wanted to just jump in feet-first, I could just make the pre-generated characters for that scenario (which all have ties to each other already figured out), and teach the rules as you go.

Okay, I have the essentials set up for a game. Rules, an RTJ page, that sort. Still filling in blanks, but there's enough to get started.
