Greetings everyone, I have this urge to play a game center around Gondor fights against Mordor, Corsairs and the alike.

Game system doesn't really matter (as long as it's not free-form).

I have a heavily-modded version of Rolemaster that heavily draws on Middle-Earth lore. It even specifies what character options (like race and class) are available in each Age. So you could easily have a Second- or Fourth-Age game, and your options would be accurate to the lore.

RM isn't exactly widespread, so I'd probably have to spend some time making pregenerated characters, and would have to teach the game mechanics as you go. Wouldn't be the first time for me.

I'd love a Third Age game!

MERP (Middle Earth Role Playing) you could even play 1st Age, if you go for the "God" Level thing.

Well, as stated the game system don't really matter as long as a game is started ;)

But the MERP would perhaps suit better, and be more balanced, due to being created for the setting.

I know of one MERP game but I think its full. If you scroll back a page or two in players wanted you may find it.

I looked at The One Ring and the game really didn't do it for me.
