The Devil's in the Details II - Gestalt, D&D 3.0/3.5, lvl 1
Seems my original concept didn't find enough traction to attract a GM. This is a similar character concept but perhaps less epic in scope.
My character would still be a Kyton (with the 'Brand of the Nine Hells' and 'Mark of Malbolge' feats gained through flaws as per Unearthed Arcana). But the remainder of the party wouldn't be limited to playing devils.
I envision the game starting in more of a 'gladiator' setting, possibly even having events that are player vs player (or player vs NPC if preferred), where clerics come in and heal/resurrect the injured/dead (so that no one dies in the gladiator arena).
For some reason the king enlists the employ of the arena's finest for a mission that would save the kingdom (or even the world?) from demise, and if they succeed, they gain their freedom.
I would like to see XP earned generously to allow a level progression that is somewhat faster than once ever 4-12 months as seems to be the case with many play by post games.
As for the Gestalt aspect. I'd like to see racial HD and LA (if any) progress up one side and class levels up the other. I'd like to see the allowance of one template (LA +1; I intend to use Mineral Warrior from Forgotten Realms: Underdark) permitted on the other side, paired up with their character's first HD; this would be optional per player preference). Once all Racial HD and LA have been attained, progress in a class or PrC would continue up that side of the build.
As for available sources, I'd prefer players have access to most 3.0 and 3.5 material, subject to DM approval.
My preferred Campaign Setting is Forgotten Realms, but it can be anywhere as long as FR books are permitted for use in character creation.
40+ pt point buy is preferred...these are the the best of the best in the gladiator arena.
