My first taste of GURPS was in a PBP Infinite Worlds game over on the Paizo Forums. Sadly the game fell apart some time ago and I now find myself missing the character I played, a young engineering student turned mercenary through improbable circumstances before joining the Infinity Patrol. Now that I have a better grasp of the rules and a (hopefully) better set of writing chops, I want to give her another chance and finally build that mobile, quantum-hopping machine-shop/mech hangar that I came up with when I envisioned the character.
So, yeah. Looking for a GM willing to play an Infinite Worlds Game. Preferably someone who isn't scared off by one of the players asking if he can build something meant to cause mayhem. :)
System: GURPS 4e
Setting: Infinite Worlds
Character Goals:
- Build a Conveyor that doubles as a mobile base and workshop
- Build a Mech
- Build an AI Ally to help run things
- Find and devour as much technical information on as many worlds as possible
- Find someway to get her family where she can see them again
Player Wants:
- Something with a good mix of action, intrigue, and roleplaying opportunities
- 250/125 to 300/150 point allowance, though that might be asking a bit much. ;)
I'm not particularly adamant about any of the above, but I would like her to be able to build and design her own equipment, at least. I can also help out with coming up with new worlds as necessary. I'll need to work with any GM on my character's timeline since it's supposed to be more advanced than Homeline, but only a little (Early TL9 vs. TL8).
Sorry if things are a little scattered or if I'm asking for too much. I'm willing to work things out, though, so don't be afraid to say that I can't have everything I'm asking for. :)
