Id love to play a game in an Asian setting, preferably modern Japan. I'd play a british tourist or foreigner as I lack a great deal of cultural knowledge.

I'd rather it was Adult or Mature with scope for some IC romance.

Im willing to try a more historical or feudal setting and set somewhere else (China, Korea) but I'd like it to be East or Southeast Asia.

Really is too bad you don't want anime, because I wrote an anime centric pseudo-Japanese culture based game.

I'm not totally down with anime its just for me anime represents a Japanised view of western culture and I want to be immersed in Japanese culture. I prefer realism.

Yeah, you won't get an accurate Japanese or western culture out of my game. You'll get a TVtroped culture that has nods to aspects of Japanese culture that Americans see. Or at least this American. I have actually had to inform people even though I already stated I'm an American English writer that I read romanji (which is apparently wrong because it's actually  rōmaji). I even had to look up your chicken bump.

For most of my games, you'll get a TVtroped warp in perspective, because I write what I think is fun, and I never thought trying to fully emulate a thing that could be very insulting to people who live the thing was a 'fun' that was worth the risk.

Yeah. I have played games that emulate the culture and Even co gm in one but this time I want something more authentic.

I have never felt a need to insult or overtly correct anyone and if Ive done so inadvertantly I apologuise. Here is my take on authenticity:

As a welshman if somebody not from wales tried to emulate it and fell short I certainly wouldn't be insulted by it. I'd be flattered that they were interested in my culture. But perhaps thats just me ;-)

The same goes for language. If somebody came to the UK and tried to speak or write english, even if they used google again I wouldn't be insulted. Instead I'd try to help them out.
