Really is too bad you don't want anime, because I wrote an anime centric pseudo-Japanese culture based game.
I'm not totally down with anime its just for me anime represents a Japanised view of western culture and I want to be immersed in Japanese culture. I prefer realism.
Yeah, you won't get an accurate Japanese
or western culture out of my game. You'll get a TVtroped culture that has nods to aspects of Japanese culture that Americans see. Or at least this American. I have actually had to inform people even though I already stated I'm an American English writer that I read romanji (which is apparently wrong because it's actually rōmaji). I even had to look up your chicken bump.
For most of my games, you'll get a TVtroped warp in perspective, because I write what I think is fun, and I never thought trying to fully emulate a thing that could be very insulting to people who live the thing was a 'fun' that was worth the risk.
