Godbound?

I had a DM introduce me to the system a few months ago.  Man I am in love with it.  Sadly the default world took them out less than 3 scenes into the fray.

If someone was willing to go tit for tat, I'd be happy to trade a spot in my long running, active every day, 17k posts and counting Vampire the Requiem 2.0 game as a bribe to run Godbound.  I understand the grind of always being the storyteller, and never being the player, so I'm happy to trade.

Hope offering to trade isn't a violation of the ToS.  I couldn't find anything to suggest it is, but maybe I missed something obvious.

I could run; I've been itching to GM a game of Godbound, and have a few ideas of how to do the initial setup.

I'd need a day or two to pull things together, but just a few setup questions first. Do you want to run in the default setting, or a custom setting; if custom, I've got an archipelago setting, a smaller continental setting (think the size of the UK), or a more modern half-continent setting that are half baked and wouldn't take too long to finish up. Are you looking for a one-shot, or do you want to go in expecting a campaign? And finally, are you most interested in politics, heavy combat, exploration, thievery, or a healthy mix?

Godbound?

Hey! Personally, I'm up for a custom setting if it has a bit of definition. Default world is fine for me, though.

As to what sort of play I like, A bit of everything would be ideal. I do definitely have multiple ideas, and would maybe enjoy access to things like custom words, though I'm fine not having such things as well. I'd like to learn GB combat  (and maybe see enemy stat blocks after a battle) as part of learning the system a bit, since I'm quite interested inpotentially learning to run this myself.

I'll keep my eyes open for this! Thanks so much!

Also throwing in for a game of Godbound. I was in Rac's aforementioned game as a player and it was dope, but short-lived. I'm good with the default world, but I'd be interested in hearing more about some of these half-baked custom options. I'm also happiest with a good mix of play styles and action. I lean into combat characters but intrigue and exploration are welcome changes.

I've got a variety of character ideas, and am willing to flex, but I definitely want to be able to play in combat some. I posted a GB request a while back to which most everyone here said they'd be up for playing, but we stopped bumping it once it appeared nothing was coming of it. Here's hoping this works out :D

I'm still interested.  I'd marginally prefer the default world more for an introductory way to learning the game.  Custom is dope too.

You seem to have a lot of people trying to get a grasp on the mechanics.  I'm probably in all the Godbound games I can realistically keep straight in my head, but I've internalized the system right solid and followed along with a few thousand posts of conversation with the developer over on rpg.net.  If you want someone to step in as a tutor so you can focus on the game itself, I figure it's in my best interests to offer.  Expand the playerbase, you know?

Godbound?

Hey, sorry for the delay, I meant to get this posted yesterday!

I think Dragonshaos had a good point, in that since there's a decent amount of introduction to Godbound that will be going on, the best thing to do is run in the default setting for now. As such, I've also put the starting situation in the Raktine Confederacy, as in my experience it's the best jack-of-all-trades starting point in the setting due to it's politically fractured, monster infested nature.

The game is now up, and I'll send invites to everyone in this thread who has indicated interest. Thanks!
