Me and my friend are looking for a 5e game, preferrably with more players than just us. I am quite proficient with the system and the friend is just starting with DnD.

We would play characters with shared backstory that is malleable enough to fit into any setting. Currently considering high elf brothers: a fighter and a wizard. But we're not locking ourselves and can make other characters if they would fit the setting better.

I'll be another player in your group if a GM shows up.

5e is in a decent number of the "looking for players" threads. Is there a specific kind of story you are looking for? Brothers testing their bond when death is on the line, or delving dungeons with someone you can trust completely? The two are very different stories, regardless of the adventure elements. Or even something that skews closer to reality, that one brother has been a mercenary for years, but some catalyst has pushed the other brother to the same life, and the older must safeguard the younger while he learns the ropes.
