Rifts Characters looking for a home

I have an interesting and unique character that I was playing in a high powered, high level Rifts game.  But, the GM vanished.  So I was hoping to run a game for him, and, possibly, the other players.  I am willing to start him at whatever level.

Ugly, even by Gargoyle standards, Gerlan's face is craggy and pock-marked, covered
in scars from countless battles.  He is short, again by Gargoyle standards, but well-built and strong.  The most interesting things about his physical appearance are:  1)That his face and golden, slit-pupil eyes are very expressive, 2)The metal tubes and caps implanted in his gray-green head and the bionic tail replacing his natural one that was lost in an arena fight, and 3)That he can sometimes be seen wearing clothing, typically a tuxedo with hat, tails, cumberbund and all accessories, or a pink and orange wig and facial hair (beard and mustache) with a too-small, yellow Hawaiian with red flames, and a pair of tattered brown high-water pants cinched with a thick rope around the waist (which he likes to wear when he plays in a band).  He is find of humanoids, Humans and their ilk, and has developed a love of alcoholic beverages (how much does it take for a gargoyle with MOM to get drunk?), and pre-Rifts entertainment, especially the 1980s.

Born in the Gargoyle city of Alvurron, on Atlantis, Rifts Earth, Gerlan was
a fairly typical Gargoyle.  Except for being a bit on the smallish side.  But, he an ambitious Gargoyle, interested in gaining experience and power.  He took
to fighting in all the local arenas, eventually making it to Splynn.  He had not really made much of a name for himself, but his antics got him noticed.  He would do crazy things.  For example, he had learned to sing from some human slaves and developed a taste for Pre-Rifts music, so he would sometimes break into song.  This made him unique, and brought him more
attention than his fighting record would have allowed.  Once in Splynn, he
met a cyber-doc of alien origin who offered to give him more power through
Mind over Matter implantation.

Rifts Game wanted, high powered.

I love Rifts but I don't think I am familiar enough to run a game, which is too bad as I like Gargoyles quite a bit. If someone runs the game tho pls rmail me I'd be happy to be another player in the game to keep the interest high. I'd run it if I had more experience with the system. sorry ;O(

Rifts Game wanted, high powered.

Appearance:  A bit like a Neanderthal, Lennie is large and muscular, with sharp teeth and clawed fingers and toes.  Unlike the typical Ogre, who is usually unkempt, with greasy hair And , often, unwashed, Lennie keeps himself clean and well-groomed.  His black hair is kept combed back, despite the MOM implants poking out of his skull, and his dusky skin is clear and clean, his face clean shaven.  His face is craggy, and scarred deeply, but his eyes are a bright green and expressive.

Personality:  Lennie, who goes by Targ the Runt, often comes across as gruff and angry, but those know him best know he is sensitive and compassionate, and sometimes quite funny when he wants to be.  While not particularly intelligent, or strong-willed, or likeable, and tends t be rather simple, he is not stupid, nor is he one to bend en it is very important or lives are on the line.  In fact, he can be quite stubborn.

Rifts Game wanted, high powered.

Gamer75,
The problem with Rifts is that while the rules have been changed over the years they are not always for the better. If you stick to the pre_RUE weapons rules combat goes well. Most of the other times you have to wing it as the rules are 20+ years old and badly implemented. I mean I love the game but it's a flawed system.

Rifts Game wanted, high powered.

yes I agree with that based on my experience with it
to me it's a great game to sit around and have fun with a gaming group for a few adventures but it's not the kind of game I'd want to play a campgaine in for years real life time
