If it's all the same to you, I'd also prefer to join a small game of L5R. I am fairly experienced with the rules, but I am all for playing with a newbie. I'd settle for being a helper to your character if that fits, like a yojimbo or similar.

It seems like I usually end up learning a system but GM'ing it but this one felt like a bit much to try that with. It's been a bit since I read the rules so I need to give them a once over again, but I remember thinking it was relatively simple. I feel most overwhelmed by the setting, but that's tolerable.

Assuming we can find a GM that is.

I used to play the card game and have been poing around the rules for the last few months and have been on and off for the last many years.
