So, I have been planning this game for a while, and I think I need a Co-GM. I just need someone to bounce ideas off of, run some simple scenes, handle the day to day mechanics that my less frequent access might slow down uncomfortably, help screen RTJs, etc. Here is the run down:
6 players, in an established party, are press ganged into leading a colony on a continent discovered a few years ago. The game picks up as the ship that carried them and the colonists to this new shore is struck by lightning off shore, luckily after dislodging all the passengers and supplies. Now, they are all stuck there, with no reasonable recourse to get home.
Now, the old world is vague for a reason. I want the players to create their backstories with little hand holding. If they need a totalitarian kingdom to escape from, well, now there is one. Whatever fits. Also, the players will be talking between themselves during creation to build the relationships that have to exist in a 6 person team.
As for game play, there are a few areas I want to focus on:
- Strategy- The players have to rally and lead a group of colonists, and build a working home for everyone. Also, there are plenty of threats in the new land, and protection is important. I want plenty of flexibility here.
- Exploration- There is a whole new world to explore, and I want to really drive that point home. There is a fort the party is likely to find near the landing ground, so there is a base they can use, but I want them to be exploring as soon as possible because...
- Diplomacy- There are 3 new races I'm working on; One is fairly friendly, one is wary but not isolationist, and the last is pure evil, and not in a talky way. Dealing with them all will be a careful balance.

I'll give to a bit to start with; they occupy an area roughly analogous to the American South East, from Florida to Texas, and are wary of outsiders, though not immediately hostile. Have fun with it.
