Beginner looking for fantasy setting

I wanted to get into roleplaying for a long time now but I just didn't have the chance.

So I would finally like to start and I'm looking for a GM that would run a solo campaign or a campaign with a small group.

I do not have any special preferences about the rules or the story or the world but I would like some fantasy/medieval setting.

I'd be willing to run a game. I can't promise anything long term, but enough for at least one fun quest.

I'd prefer not to run just a solo game. I'd be using 4th Edition D&D rules, but it wouldn't be necessary for anyone to really know the rules. Edit: I'd try to keep the actual mechanics as behind-the-scenes as possible and desired. I will want players to collaborate with me to get the setting they're after.

Even one quest would be awesome as it would get me started :)

I also took a quick look at 4th edition D&D rules and I think it would be great.

So if you agree to run the game, what would our next step be?

Did you have other players in mind to bring aboard, or would we need to recruit?

I don't know anyone here or who would want to join so we would have to recruit.
