World of Darkness - Hunter [Vigil]

So, I've been itching to write/play in a Hunter: The Vigil game. I have vague musings for plot and basic story, which I'll detail below. But the reason I'm here is 1. To see if there is interest, and 2. I can't be the solo storyteller here, I am hoping to find a soul out there that is willing to work with me as a co-writer/storyteller and help move the game along, help with players etc etc.

Should probably add, I am thinking Adult Rating for the game.




The basics:

The characters are slightly experienced Hunters, ones who have known each other and worked together for X amount of time, enough to know each other decently, but perhaps not SUPER WELL [Leaving room for further development]

How long, exactly, is up to the players to determine; maybe the cell was originally founded by two of the characters, but grew to encompass the others over time. In any case, the characters have some experience in battling the creatures of the night.

Despite knowing what they know, this cell of hunters hasn't bought into the whole 'it's hopeless' thing yet. They are new enough that maybe some of them still believe they can overcome the vampires and werewolves and witches with enough knowledge and guts.

The Vigil is hopeless only because it believes itself to be. It waits for the darkness to attack, rather than taking the fight to the darkness. You know better.

The game is an ordinary Hunter: The Vigil game, with the following rules in effect.

- Player characters may not be members of any compact or conspiracy. [They could have been prior maybe... depends on the history. But it'd have been very short lived]

- Player characters start with X amount of experience points etc to reflect that they do have a bit of experience under those belts.

- Player characters all know each other. This may be a brothers-in-arms relationship going back to the formation of the cell or a teacher-apprentice relationship having started only months ago, but you have been working together as a unit for X amount of time.

- Players may not take the Retainer Merit. You can, however, take stuff like Allies. You just don't have Jeeves following you around all the time. Mentors etc are fine. [Think Garth or Bobby types from Supernatural]

- Thinking we'll start in a town, maybe the home town. But the setting at this point is really flexible and open, hell the hunters could be in a city. I do anticipate them moving around at some point in the plotline.

- Not 'sand-boxy' I am hoping to have this more story driven and handled in 'chapters?' or something. With antagonists and things the characters can deal with, but flexible enough players don't feel railroaded.

- Relatively small player base, at least to begin with. [We can open a 2nd group if it's desired] maybe six players tops?

Very interested player wise but I'm not sure if I could help run the game since I'm not familiar with rules. I have the core and they look simple enough but yea. What kind of help where you looking for? Like help with bogs and ideas or?

I can handle the mechanics, if someone is unfamiliar with the system aspect. I'm mostly hoping to find in a co-gm someone who can help plot, and move the story line along. Make story posts when it is needed and someone who is open to communicating regularly so we can keep the plot moving along at a decent pace.

I much prefer Reckoning. I have tried my hand at GMing it and was thinking of doing a reboot, but a co-GM experience might be much better.  If you are up for Reckoning, I would be interested to discuss it with you.
