There are a few game systems I've wanted to test out, I might be persuaded to run a Clone Wars based thing with them. Specifically, I wanted to try Wushu for Star Wars since I read it (I don't want to count how many years ago that is); Fate: Accelerated Edition seems like it would be a fantastic fit as well. Both of those systems would handle clone trooper PCs alongside Jedi PCs of any power level without blinking an eye (if it comes to that). Re-skinning 3:16 to do clone troopers might be interesting as well now that I think about it, though that would probably leave out Jedi.
Now, my approach would be to have a (relatively) short-run game, with a very specific direction--for one, I've come to realize that even a very simple "one-shot" on pbp format will take quite a while, simply because of the speed of interaction. I also don't want to get into a big commitment with something I haven't run before and am just trying out. I'd want a reasonably high posting rate, because I'm honestly going to lose focus/interest if we don't (I'd like to say daily but there are always those bad days...). If we finish the game (a goal, but a rarity online) and we're all hungry for some more then we take it from there.
I have to admit, I haven't especially kept up with Star Wars lore lately, I'd just be working with the very broad strokes of the setting. I'm happy to consider specific details the players want, but I can in no way guarantee I won't contradict anything (actually, it might be best to assume I will). Not that the various materials out there don't contradict themselves already.
Anyway, if that's something you want to try let me know and we'll see if we can make it work. I am aware that the game systems I've mentioned skew to the light and narrative end of the spectrum, and that's on purpose--it's not that I'll only play those games, those are just the ones I haven't and would like to test out. If that's not what you're after then cool, no judgement.
