Well, the manga is coming to an end. The next chapter shall be the last, and an era finally comes to an end. The last of the big three: One Piece is still going strong, however it's clear that there won't be an anime quite like Bleach for a long time, if ever again. Back in it's height, there were some really amazing Bleach games on this site. Using Bleach D20, those games captured the spirit of the manga/anime and I've long yearned to enjoy that again. Since that popularity has waned, a system that is similar but vastly superior to Bleach D20 has appeared, which is Bleach D20 Classless. A system that is easy to understand but offers an extreme level of customization that I greatly appreciated. Another system that could do just fine is M&M 3e so long as elements from the mecha and manga 2e supplement are brought over so that characters can actually be built around the tropes of the series.
As for the story, I think it appropriate to set it sometime after the ending of Bleach which will be six days from now. Something in which the next generation of shinigami are working to bring order to chaos created from the power vacuum of so many casualties of the war. Characters should be the best of their generation rookies dealing with lawlessness in Rukongai, a setting that is ripe for content that can ground the game with depth in the setting similar to the early anime while allowing us to continue to flesh on out from there. Many of the games that ran before died out due to trying to build an elaborate world that mimics the show's organizations logistically. Doing that creates far too much work for the GM and causes the game to collapse. I'd be happy to help with the meta/story of a game if we would all be so fortunate for a GM to come along.
