7th Sea Second Edition?

Anyone interested in running a 7th Sea 2nd Edition game? Would love to swash some buckles.

I've yet to pore over the rules sufficiently to run a game, but I'd also enjoy a chance to play.

I'm not sure I could do justice to it as a GM yet, but I'd love to play this.

looking at system. Not certain how well it would work for PbP. Interested in seeing it in action though

Nice. That's basically a full group for any GM interested in giving this a go.

I might be willing to give GMing a go.

What kind of game would there be interest for?

would love to give try. I love high intrigue swashbuckling. State intrigue versus Exploration. Though some can be fun.

I'm mostly interested in testing the new system, so I'm fairly open. That said a bit of chandelier-swinging swordplay and a spot of seafaring high adventure would be quite welcome.

7th Sea Second Edition?

Been looking over the rules. Sorcery seems much more accessible, and useful from start. The Swordsmen's schools seem simplified,, but I found that buying the required knacks to be useful was not always as easy as it seemed. Sometimes it seemed just as beneficial at least early on and in a PbP game to just go with high basic weapon knacks. If, a progressed enough eventually the knacks became very helpful.

I like some of the advantages. that simply allow narrative actions to happen without dice rolls. Examples are Psst come over here which distracts a npc to came to you and be taken out without being noticed.

Looking forward to seeing someone gm the system.

7th Sea Second Edition?

I just joined the site, but I do have these rules.

As I'm not familiar with how to use the site to run games, I'm not keen on jumping into that RIGHT OFF THE BAT.

However, I'm more than willing to play or watch a game so I can see how things work around here.

The other option is I stumble through the process of learning how to GM around here and everyone gets to watch the madness unfold in real time.  Which might be interesting from a car crash perspective, I suppose.

7th Sea Second Edition?

I'm currently running a 1st Edition game, and I'm a bit reluctant to try a 2nd Edition version for fear of getting the rules between the too all tangled up.

If any of you are familiar with both and don't think that is an issue, I might get one started by the end of the week.

Anyone have a suggestion for a theme or starting point?

In reply to StarMaster (msg # 13):

I would love to play, and am familiar with both. 2nd edition is much more narrative and flexible I feel, with still just enough crunch. :) I think it'd be easy to keep things separate. However, the timeline for 2e has reset to 1668, with some slight differences in major events. But, if want to roll with your own flavor, no problems here. :)

In reply to StarMaster (msg # 13):

As a suggestion for starting point, you may consider what type of game you like to do.

If a game on the seas appeals, perhaps something dealing with the privateers of Avalon.  Or, if a free form sandbox appeals, maybe something in Eisen since that location is basically wide open from a power standpoint.
