Hi all.

I am looking for a DM willing to run a long term DnD 5.0 campaign starting with level 1 characters.

I have a lot of experience playing DnD 3.5 and pathfinder but haven't had a chance to try out DnD 5.0 yet.

Character wise, I would like to play a bard (possibly a half-elf but I haven't finalised the character concept yet) and have a friend who may be interested in playing a warlock.

I can post daily and would like a DM posting rate of at least 2 posts per week as I find it hard to maintain interest with slower games.

I am happy to provide a writing sample or additional details if required.

Do you or your friend have any idea what kinda setting you'd be interested in?
I've been trying out a campaign IRL but it didn't work out so well due to player avail availability changing after a few games so I was thinking of remaking it here.
It's based on a coastal city and slightly inspired by Shadows Over Innsmouth

I didn't have a specific setting in mind but I am looking for something that has a strong element of role-playing (ie: not a game that is solely focused on dungeon crawling).

My friend would like to try out one of the adventure paths but also has an interest in love-craftian themes.

Your idea sounds interesting and I think that it is something my friend would probably like as well. What role did you have in mind for the PCs?

As far as PCs are concerned I was keeping it open to begin with.
Not sure about how strong the role-playing would be though, but that depends on how the players choose to deal with problems, etc. MY IRL group was more of a dungeon-crawly group so taking the RP approach could be interesting.

Now an important question before I commit to anything: do you and your friend want to be just the two of you or part of a bigger group?

I'd be interested in this game as well, if it was open to others. I have always been keen on a low-life/scum swordsman (and perhaps sailor) who tends to side with the good guys and do the right thing in the end (the cliche "doesn't want people to know he's good at heart").

I'm also a big fan of Lovecraft.

I prefer RP to combat like tersal, but the character I have in mind would definitely be built as a swordsman, so would be comfortable with a fair amount of combat.

I have experience with AD&D 2e, 3e, and 4e. This would be my first 5e game, but I have a good understanding of the rules.

I would be looking for a larger group (probably around 6 players) so assuming that Cappadocius is still interested there would be spare places for others.

I lost some of m work on the campaign since I lost my hard drive, but I'll look into setting this all up again on here.

I am thinking of starting an epic campaign of D&D 5e, Princes of the Apocalypse. This is a levels 1-15 sandbox(ish) campaign that will take years.

My main requirement is reliable players who can post daily (apart from holiday/sickness exceptions naturally) and have good access to internet!

I have started putting the game together. There is no rush. I haven't opened it up to players yet. I am already DMing this campaign face to face (18 sessions so far) and it's very enjoyable.
