Old School Traveller
I'm old guard, I've been thinking of starting a Classic Traveller game for a while, but time is always a problem. Every time I think I may have a gaming window free, RL throws something else at me.
Another window is looming. If you want to take a chance, perhaps a 'short story' set task for a couple of months rather than an open ended sandbox - it would keep it tighter and wouldn't feel like too much of a heavy commitment for me.
I have a couple of caveats, though.
1. MTU predates the OTU (or predates its publication, anyway) so I run games in MTU not the OTU. If that's a deal-breaker, sorry, you'll have to keep looking for a GM. On a daily basis, you probably won't notice much difference.
2. Writing houserules for Traveller has been something of a solo game for me for 30 years. I have a lot of them. By now, I can't remember which of the rules I use are vanilla and which are mine. You'd have to accept the whole package. But again, back in the seventies we were actively encouraged to make our own stuff up.
Long story short, I'm offering Traveller straight from the original boxed set, with everything else homebrewed - It doesn't get much more 'old school' than that.
