Neverwinter Request

I have always thought that the 4th Edition Forgotten Realms book NEVERWINTER CAMPAIGN SETTING, has provided a perfect setting for a Forgotten Realms campaign. And I was wondering is there any DM willing to run a 4th Edition Forgotten Realms game set in Neverwinter. I would prefer to start from scratch at level 1 and use the Essentials rules but am willing to go with whatever the DM is comfortable with. :)

Same, while I have the FR and Nvrwntr books I've never gotten into FR so couldn't pull it off like it deserves. Prefer war priest essentials or essentials Avenger.

Neverwinter Request

I'm tempted but I doubt I could run a convincing Neverwinter game, even with the setting material on hand. Canon tends to give me hives. I'm somewhat interested in GMing 4e, though, for the right people.

Neverwinter Request

In reply to engine (msg # 4):

I'm game, any setting. The generic Nentir Vale is always a great start or even the good old "you are in a village, go explore..." what have you. I'm partial to Warpriests aka the REAL Paladins but I may be biased. Though I've yearned to use 4e for thieves missions too.

Glad to see that there's still some interest in 4th Edition.

If I get up the gumption to GM again, I'll put out the word. It really is about finding compatible people, I've found, so that's the tricky part.

I think 4e is the best! Count me in if you get this game going.

Re: Neverwinter Request

What are you looking for in such a game? What makes a game set in Neverwinter different, for you, from a game set in a generic town in a generic setting?
