Hi, everybody!

I've been a player of BattleTech for twenty-eight years, nearly from the beginning and since all of my current RPGs have wrapped up and concluded, I find myself eager to return to the battlefields of the 31st Century. While I still have my TT BattleTech game going, it's been a good while since I got out of a 'Mech and into the action, as it were.

Ideally, I'm looking to start off with a fresh group and run through a mission or two and see if it unfolds into a bigger campaign. I've got several character ideas rattling around and could (theoretically) fill any slot in a team. MechWarriors, Tankers, Aerospace Pilot, Infantry, Battle Armor, Medic...it's all fun to me.

That being said, while I'm a HUGE fan of the lore, I'm also intrigued by the concept put forth by the Empires Aflame supplement. The idea of an alternate Inner Sphere where the Exodus never occurred just tickles my fancy and I can see a lot of ways where player actions could influence the Inner Sphere without butting up against the established lore.

If you're interested in running the game, holler at me and we'll get the ball rolling.

Interesting concept

I'll be honest with you, Grimmond - that Empires Aflame supplement floored me. Y'know, I'm used to looking at the "Holiday" adventures like Necromo Nightmares and Nebula California being fun for just a one-off mission (or a couple, in NC's case), but since BattleTech is more-or-less "realistic" (as far as you can be with multi-ton war machines slugging it out across the galaxy), I'd never really thought about the possibilities of an alternate universe and then, BAM! Your JumpShip suffers a catastrophe and you wind up in a totally bewildering version of the Inner Sphere you know and love.

After I read the PDF, I sat back in my chair, grinning like a little kid at Christmas time.

I may be interested in running this but it will be a bit before I am able to.

I'm not in any kind of rush, Shaman. Right now, I've got a pretty good amount of time on my hands since my other games have closed up.

Still looking for an AToW game or two. I've got several character ideas, so don't be shy.

The same here. It's one of those 'would love to try this someday' games, so give me a shout if this goes ahead. :)

Due to an abrupt change at work (a number of people let go) and a redistribution of the workload, my available time has been neatly sabotaged.  I'm still up for eventually running this but as I have to curb my RPOL time, it likely won't be for a couple of months.

I have no problem running a Mechwarrior game. Was actually looking to play, but I just had an idea while reading this. The game would start days prior to the Amaris coup.

I have the Mechwarrior 3rd Edition reprint under the new name by Fanpro, I think. Been with Battletech off and on since you could get pewter figs in the starter kit and those were the only mechs they had.

Classic Battletech RPG published by WizKids and Fanpro. I know it as Mechwarrior 3rd Edition by FASA

I have lots of the older books and accessories that go with them.  I am interested in playing in a game like this, but not running.
