I've typically avoided class-based systems and settings and used more freeform ones, however looking through a friends D&D 5E PG I was interested.

I know little of the system (I played some D&D many years ago when Ravenloft/Planescape were new) but nothing at all since.

Are there any GMs out there willing to teach me the rudiments and show me the benefit of the class-based paradigm? Willing to play almost anything, of any level, I'm not worried about keeping pace with established players and more than willing to play an underling/sidekick type role. I'm interested in exposure to the system and a setting than being a prime player for example.

If I could get four or five interested parties, i'd be happy to run a 5E game for a group of new or relatively inexperienced players. if not though, i'm fine with solo as well, should you be interested.
