Exalted 3E

I'd really like to be able to participate in some more exalted games. I prefer adult games, but that's hardly a sticking point. If anyone is thinking of starting such a game please let me know and I will apply as soon as possible.

What kind of character are you thinking of playing? I'm not volunteering for the position, but sometimes interesting ideas can spark a complementary vision for a potential ST.

Exalted 3E

I'm super-duper busy for the rest of today and tomorrow, but I'd like to throw my Glorious Orichalcum Kabuto of Declaration into the Excellent-Consideration-of-Players Ring.

So, you know, I'd like to play too.

It's only out for those who backed the kickstarter.

But if anyone runs a game, I'd also be in. I keep getting to games just as they fill up so I have yet to get to play in an Exalted 3e game.

Games fill up fast for Ex3e.

I mean, I didn't manage to actually open my game up AT ALL before getting 6 people who wanted to play... =/

...by the way, yes, I would like to play.

Re: Exalted 3E

Alright, so, this is never gonna get off the ground if we can't attract an ST. Everybody knows there's a trillion hungry players, so interest isn't the problem - maybe inspiration will strike true where weight of numbers is faltering? I'm gonna post one of these a day for a week and see where that gets us. :P

Where All Maps End

For the Eighth Realm Expeditionary Force, the stony and sun-scorched Western archipelago of Shattered Throne was never meant to be more than a cursory posting. Assigned by their certifiably insane commander to hunt down a legendary Shogunate ruin, it was clear within the first year of their search that the city was no myth - and clear by their tenth that it was just as unattainable as if it had been. Wherever they followed the signs and rumors, they found the same thing: confused accounts of black stone and jade pillars, amnesiac and occasionally berserk gods no one recognized, and terrain torn to pieces as if a city had indeed rested there - and then decided to take a journey somewhere else. The lost city never settled near to any heavily-populated civilization, never left indication of where next it would travel, seemed unbound by distance and travel times - most of the Eighth sought other postings where they could, or else resigned themselves to chasing an impossible mystery.

Until Shattered Throne. Rumor and local legend suggested that perhaps the city had visited the archipelago in the past, a first, and there was considerable excitement about the possibility of finally discovering some telling clue about the city and how it traveled - so perhaps the Eighth were not as cautious as they might have been. Perhaps it was only the wear of years that dulled them. The people of the archipelago were friendly, welcoming, and perfectly civilized; what harm was there in setting up a comfortable garrison, in delaying the scouts a few days to enjoy the local color? They knew how the story would go anyway.

Except it didn't. Instead, during the night of the second day and a terrible storm that arose from nowhere, the entire archipelago tore free of the sea floor and launched itself off into the West. Something has changed. A cycle has broken, or come to its end - a malfunction? An ancient scheme? Was some trigger finally activated? Or is there something more...conscious...at play?

What secrets dwell among the reclusive upper ranks of the expedition? What are the islanders hiding? Where is Shattered Throne going? And what about the most disturbing rumors of all - that the city has disgorged more than mad gods this time? That somewhere among the sprawling island cluster, five men and women have awoken, whose chains of memory all end the same way - with them stepping, charging, sneaking, sauntering, or fleeing into a mysterious city of black stone and jade pillars...five hundred years before the Usurpation and the rise of the Shogunate.

Little bit Lost, little bit Far Cry, little bit Battlestar Galactica, little bit interesting?

Re: Exalted 3E

Having been on the looking for a game side of the fence more times than I can count, I think it only fair to mention that I am currently in the planning/set-up phase of my own Exalted 3rd Edition game.

A quick disclaimer though: this will be my first attempt at GMing a Play-by-Post, and while being sorta-aware of Exalted for years, it will also be my first fully-fledged campaign of Exalted.

It's pretty friendly to run; your real challenge will be swimming back to the surface after the deluge of incoming characters do their best to drown you. Where's it set, what kinda cultures are present?

Re: Exalted 3E

I planning on a game set in Scavenger Lands, specifically the Hundred Kingdoms.   The goal is to be a sort of Kingdom-building style of game, but if I get a bunch of PCs that work well together and they decide to go off in another direction, who am I to try and force them into doing something they don't want to?

Re: Exalted 3E

For all those monitoring this thread:

I've liked the idea of Exalted for a long time. I think the first and second editions of the game were terrible as games, which, in my opinion, is standard for White Wolf. Great ideas, bad execution.

Onyx Path's 3rd edition, however, like their work with the WoD games, is brilliant and inspiring. So inspiring, in fact, that I have set up a new game of Exalted, 3rd edition, Romance of the Dragon Throne.

The first scenes of the game will be set in the city of Nexus in the Scavenger Lands but, as yet, there is no fixed starting scenario. What exactly the PCs are up to will depend on the characters and players.

Note that, as per request of the original poster, Lissette, Romance of the Dragon Throne is rated A for Adult (PEGI 18). It contains graphic violence, nudity, sexual themes, awesome magic sword fights, serious moral choices and consequences, and the possibility of on-screen explicit sexual activity. Player discretion is advised.

Enquire within: link to another game
