Heya folks.

I'm a longtime fan of post-apocalypse settings, and lately I've been really craving the genre. Thing is, I'm pretty much exclusively a GURPS player, and there doesn't seem to be much available in the GURPS post-apocalypse aisle.

So, long story short, I've been told to check out Apocalypse World. I've picked up the book and I'm reading through it, but I'll be honest: a lot of these ideas seem pretty strange, and I'm having some trouble getting an idea of how the game would actually play. Reading it is one thing, but actually seeing the rules in action would make things make a lot more sense.

Are there any active Apocalypse World games out there - old, new, just starting up, whatever - that wouldn't mind taking me on as an observer? I kinda just want to watch the game in action for a bit, if that's cool.

I'm also interested in a apocalyptic/survival set game.  The two freeform games I tried fizzled out so I have been trying to figure out what rules to delve into.  Apocalypse World is one that seams popular.  Mind if I rtj to lurk too?

I don't have the AW book, but I am very familiar with DW. Is there somewhere I can read the AW rules online?
