Wheel of time  (High level 12+)

I'm looking for a GM for a wheel of time game that uses the d20 game book and allows material from both free online sourcebooks: 'Age of Illusion' and 'Under the Dragon's Banner'.

My only issue with this game world (when playing a character) is the overpowered nature of users of the one power (when you aren't playing one yourself).  If there is someway to ensure that everyone gets a piece of the spotlight that'd be great, if not, I'd just as soon see this game consist of non-power users (aside from a few wilder levels or something like that).

Ideally this group would examine how a group of non-initiates/Aes Sedai/Ashamen would fair.

example group:

A wolfbrother (which I intend to be)
A blademaster
A gleeman
A thief-taker
A warder (sans Aes Sedai)
An Ogier (or two)

etc.

Obviously they wouldn't go on missions/adventures that put them in direct opposition of Black Ajah Aes Sedai and Sul'dam/Domane but there are plenty of other dangers in the Wheel of Time world to challenge these character's.

NOTE: players should each start with a bonus 'latent ability' feat.

Wheel of time d20 (High level 12+)

Just wondering if lack of interest in GM'ing this game revolves around the higher level (12+) as I would be willing to start at a lower level is there could be some discussion as to how to level characters in a PbP environment faster than once ever 5-6 months?

Is it my preference that this game not be based around users of the one power (initiates/Aes Sedai/Asha'man/Wise Ones/Windfinders)? Again, I'd be willing to be flexible on this if the GM can ensure those not focused on using the One Power can fill important roles and not be outshined for the majority of the game, which has been my experience in previous PbP games in the Wheel of Time game world.

Or is it something else?  I'd really appreciate some discussion on this if some change to my game criteria would generate more interest?

Wheel of time d20 (High level 12+)

I just rejoined RPoL after years of being out.  I've played and GMed WoT.  I've noticed that there are almost no WoT games going here currently. Do you have a current group in need of a GM?  I may be able to fill that role, but need to know if it will be worth the time. I'm not huge on running a solo player, but am willing to consider it, especially if you have others who will join once it gets going.  I have all the supplements, and co-authored/edited the Age of Discovery netbook.  I was also active on the website/message board where the Age of Illusions and Under the Dragon Banner were birthed.

Unfortunately i don't have anyone else lined up to play.  Perhaps a players wanted ad to identify whether there is any interest?

Wheel of time d20 (High level 12+)

I posted in the Games Proposals here --> link to a message in another game, and got a decent response.  I'll take on the campaign.  I may start the game at level 8, but I run a pretty fast campaign style, so depending on the consistency of posters, advancement should go relatively fast.

Wheel of time d20 (High level 12+)

Still seeking a GM for this game.  I provide the following 'exit' post from the previous attempt to demonstrate what I'm not looking for in a GM, in hopes that I can find one that will actually provide me what I'm asking for.

I appreciate your opting to take this game on.

What I don't appreciate is your having altered the request...my request...into something opposite to what I'd asked for.

My game request was for level 12+; that got cut to 6th.
I asked for use of material from the online net books Age of Illusion and Under the Dragon's Banner; and then when I went to use that material was told I couldn't use it (Animal Talker lost ability feat).

My stated preference was a game with few or no fully developed users of the One Power, which you then ended up ignoring to cater to the other players (players that hadn't made the initial GM request but had voiced interest based on the GM request that I'd made).

I attempted to make my wolfbrother character using the wolfbrother feats as found in Under the Dragon's Banner (which you initially allowed) and then after I completed the character sheet changed your mind and told me to remake him following the PrC instructions in the WoT game book.

I went and remade the character entirely. I used the accelerated madness option as provided for in the game book (granted I realize now I made a mistake as with accelerated madness, at best should have made him a Woodsman 2/Wolfbrother 4, as there are 4 skill requirements and not 3.  You then decided you didn't like the use of Accelerated Madness at all and basically requested that I remake the character over for a third time without accelerated madness.

This leaves my character (at best) as being a 5th level woodsman, 1st level wolfbrother.  When the initially concept was to play a fully developed wolfbrother...this has become so far away from what I asked for that I just can't enjoy it.  I've played a 1st level wolfbrother before...the concept was to play one at a higher level.

I'm going to continue seeking another GM.

Wheel of time d20 (High level 12+)

Time for a weekly bump

If you'd consider running this game but there is some specific aspect that is causing you to pass it up, feel free to discuss that aspect with me, via: rMail.  It very well may be something that can be amended to meet your needs as a GM.
