PF - Looking to try out a Magus, not picky about setting.
I'd like to try out the Magus class, having just recently discovered it as an option. I like the fact that it's essentially an arcane magic Ranger.
I'm not super picky about Pathfinder settings, in fact I'm not particularly familiar with any of the established settings of the game since the game I run uses a custom of my own design. I'm quite familiar with the PF rules and how the game works so I should be able to jump in pretty smoothly into any game as long as you don't me asking a few questions about the setting. I'm open to participating in a single-player game or fitting into an already-established group.
A few things you should know about me:
- I am a long-term player. I don't mind short campaigns but I will stick with your game for as long as it lasts. I have only ever left a game because I felt my play style was not compatible with the DM's. If I have to take a leave of absence from the game for any extended period (48+ hours) I will make sure you know about it.
- I'm a huge fan of world-building. The more detail you can give me about your setting the better. I don't mind following a module but I definitely thrive in open-world games where I get to find my own way.
- I do my best to keep a good DM/Player relationship. I understand the DM has final say but I appreciate when a DM is able to compromise if I bring up an issue that is important to me. Communication is a key part of having fun for all people involved in the game!
- I don't mind tropes or cliches in a game. They're part of story-telling and if they're done well they can help carry the story forward, so long as they make sense within the game's narrative.
- Generally I'm able to commit to multiple posts per day. My work situation sometimes allows me to get a post in once in a while when I'm not busy, but that's not always the case. At the very least I check in twice a day in any game in which I participate.
I will not play in your game if:
- Your posts as a DM are single lines with little or no description. Obviously sometimes the situation calls for a quick and easy post, especially during NPC conversations, but if I've just entered a new town and you give me minimal details I'm not going to be invested in the story.
- You disappear for long periods of time without warning.
- That's about it! If I have any issues with your game once I've joined up I'll talk with you about it in a respectful manner.
Reply here or rMail me if you feel like you've got room in your game!
