D&D 5E at higher levels

So I've been playing D&D 5E since it came out, and while I like the game well enough I've found that I have grown tired of levels 1-5. I just don't enjoy playing they another Zero to Hero story and would rather play Hero to Legend instead.

What I'm looking for is a flexible GM willing to run a higher-level 5E game. The GM needs to be creative, willing to allow published and UA content within reason, and most of all not planning on using a ton of ridiculous houserules (some houseruling is okay, but mutilating the system beyond recognition or mass banning of character options is not.)

So, any takers?

What level are you interested in?
Currently I run a table top game I have converted over from 3.5 (then Pathfinder) and the 16th lvl Ranger is the 'Ranger without spells' that WotC has on their Unearthed Arcana articles. As far as I can remember at this time, I don't really use that many houserules with 5th (now that is odd for me).

I am sold on one my friend has mentioned though- that whenever a character of higher starting level receives an Ability score adjustment for level they also get one free 'Training' benefit from page 187 of the players handbook (trained in tools or language). I'm also open to adding the option of picking up some Other Rewards as explained in the DMG (starting at page 227).

Anything 8 or higher is great. Everything else you mentioned is totally okay with me.

Have a few more hours of work, but once I'm done I'll start on setting something up. There is another fella who I think will take an interest in this, so we'll get together, hammer out what we are going to do, then I'll open rtjs to fill the party out.
