Eberron 3.5 or Pathfinder

Asking again for a specific kind of Eberron game. Either system above acceptable. I wish to be a part of the character selection process, and I am willing to be a long term co-gm if necessary.

Looking for:
- Adult! Adult! Adult! Not necessarily sex scenes, but no one under 18 should be admitted;
- Liberal class possibly gestalt;
- Liberal Level minimum 8
- Socially oriented: I would like to experience an immersion in my character's daily life; I would like to have the opportunity to take part in all classes of society, from the swanky balls to the bar room parties. I would like to take part in Political intrigue among nobility and House elite;
- Combat minimal: Regardless I am looking for very little combat. This game should focus on the interactions of the PCs and NPCs on other levels;
- City based setting, but not necessarily a single city. I love the whole of the setting, but I prefer city based campaigns for socially oriented games.

NOT looking for:
- Character PvP on a physical level. While I expect some personality conflict (that is what makes this sort of game fun) I expect that the players will be mature enough to handle conflict without resorting to physical violence;
- Being treated like a Final Fantasy Side Kick. No one PC should ever have enough power or sway to force the rest of the group to simply tag along. Two examples below -
a) A group where one PC simply charges off after every possible danger and expects/demands the rest to simply follow in his/her wake. This is TOTALLY unacceptable. As part of the Chargin each Player must state unequivocally that it is their intent to be 100% team oriented and to address all player characters before making decisions. Lapsed players would of course be exempt from this process. Yes this forms a committee of players and yes this might slow things down, but it also creates harmony among the players.
b) A player who "goes rogue." This can be anything from stealing from another party member to trying out a "who has the biggest wiener" contest. I played in a game where one player was a Sentinel of Sharn and he used his powers of arrest to take F-R-I-E-N-D-L-Y NPCs into custody on mere suspicion and supposition and above other PCs objections. This kind of "rogue" behavior should not be tolerated...E-V-E-R.
- Mostly I disdain being disrespected, either in or out of character by other players.
- No God Modding. God Modding is posting thoughts, actions, feelings, etc on behalf of other PCs. Again this is often justified as "in the interests of time." I refuse to speed things up at the expense of giving another player their fair shake -
Caveat - Lapsed players defined as someone who is absent for more than 7 days can be posted for by the GM only!
- No metagaming. Meta gaming is defined as using OOC information IC. IC and OOC should be absolutely 100% separate. If plans need making, they can and should be made IC.

GM willing to step up to this challenge should Rmail me. I do not expect to check this ad very often and I would greatly prefer to be told in Rmail that such a game exists or is on the start up. Thank you so very much for patient time and attention.

Re: Eberron 3.5 or Pathfinder

So basicall what you are saying is you want to have a say in
everything but picking out the actual "adventures" .

With being this specific and demanding, you should think about just  run your own game (solo/small party) with the NPC you want to play instead. I think you'll not only have an easier time in the game, but have tue freedom you seek.

Re: Eberron 3.5 or Pathfinder

The only way I see such a thing working, is if you have a group of friends, to play the other PC's, and you all make characters that have known one another long before the game starts, and that all share similar goals.  a 100% team oriented game is vastly hard to do, because you other get bogged down in debates about what to do next (person A wants to go slay the Dragon, Person B wants to attend the Ball, Person C wants to go to a council meeting.), OR, you will have a majority Rules set up, where it is whoever has the most votes decides what to do, again, similar to your 'FF Sidekick' Comment.

IF you can find someone, I would be willing to give it a try, but I like social intrigue, and a party based social game, unless it is something like GoT where your all members of the same house and fighting for the same goal, is hard to pull off.

Re: Eberron 3.5 or Pathfinder

Perhaps I am being misunderstood. I would welcome a game in which decisions were reached by consensus of the group and I am always glad to follow a group decision. What I resent is when a single player makes unilateral decisions and either drag everyone else along under the theory that the rest of the team is merely a group of extras for his or her amusement or makes decisions unilaterally that affect the entire group.

I would W-E-L-C-O-M-E a game where all players sought group consensus for major decisions rather than just blasting ahead and expecting everyone else to follow.

I think Doom is saying that he would like a normal RPoL GM .. we ARE a civil lot for the most part.

Anyone for a little Eberron ?
