No; as I said, I'm specifically looking for something other than a commitment to a complex, 20-level plot.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

Have you considered trying to play 1st or 2nd edition DnD or a retroclone instead?  Pathfinder doesn't really lend itself well to that sort of old school style of play in my opinion.  And the plot you want to do might be better as a solo thing with the DM running the other party members as NPCs or something.  I'd be willing to give DMing something like this a shot though even if you're adamant about using Pathfinder.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

I'm interested in atmosphere, which has nothing to do with mechanics and everything to do with how the game is run/played; PF handles that perfectly fine. I'm also not interested in solo games, just something casual that doesn't involve a particular plot. Thanks, though.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

I'm also looking to play something like this, but If I need to I can DM Such a thing. Man, I really want to play instead, especially with the adventure I'm running In Real Live right now... Kinda sucks the DM spirit right out of you.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

I have been interested in running the Darkmoon Vale modules, and I think they would be really fun with a classic party.

I say modules rather than campaign because they're designed to be a series of simple one-shot modules (starting at level 1) that can be dropped into any world or played as a series in one area.

Sound right?  Let me know if you're interested, and I'll let you know tomorrow if I can for sure run it or not.

As long as they're Pathfinder or PF-compatible, I'm at least interested in knowing more, sure.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

They say Pathfinder Chronicles, but they're actually 3.5.  I think they were written right as the change-over was happening.

I'm currently running these modules as a table-top game (the party is at level 7 now), and we've had a lot of fun with them.  They're pretty straight-forward, and are meant to be completed in just 2-3 sessions.  Since they're short and are stand-alone stories, I think they'll transition well to RPoL.

I'll get a game up and post the link here.

Bump again. Looking for a GM who understands what I'm looking for and also isn't a flake.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

Question here - are you looking for a solo game?  (wherein you play the whole cast, or even just one character?) or with a normal (4-5 player) group?

I'm not interested in solo games; I'm looking for the standard group of 4-6, if possible.

In reply to Morgan Coldsoul (msg # 19):

I would be willing to run it. Do you want an old module, a Pathfinder module, or something of my own creation? Any preference on the world?

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

Since I'm mostly interested in the flavor of the adventure, I don't have a particular preference in terms of setting. I'd be perfectly happy with a plug-and-play Pathfinder module, so long as it stuck reasonably close to the feel and theme I'm hoping to experience, but I won't turn my nose up at a homebrew setting or similar. I want to utilize the Pathfinder rules, because that's mostly what I play and it's simplest just to cleave to those, but I'm open to exploring a GM's personal world, if they have one. Whatever is easiest is fine by me.

Default Pathfinder it is then. I will setup the game later tonight and rMail you. We can discuss particulars there and then advertise  additional players.

Interested parties may send me rMails for early consideration.

Bump. At this juncture, I'd also be willing to actually set the game up, myself, if someone else will just run it so I can play.

Re: Looking for Pathfinder with old-school/classic feel

I think I do have a nice little plot for just one adventure in mind, have to adapt it to PF, though, but that won't be the problem.
Thing is, I don't have time to post every day, only about once every two days. And getting a nice group together has proved to be a bit difficult in the past. If we could work out the players together and if the pace suits you, I'd be willing to give a casual game a try :)
