Dark Ages Fae

Would love to play a game of Dark Ages Fae. Almost never see it listed, but thought I would take a shot. Even a free form game of a similar vein

Re: Dark Ages Fae

I would also like an opportunity to play DA: Fae.

Re: Dark Ages Fae

I've had in mind for some time an idea to run an 'Arthurian' game, with either a mediaeval setting or a dark ages setting, but I'm not familiar with DAF - is that a rule set?

Enlighten the uninitiated - what exactly are you looking for in a game? Let's see if we can find some common ground.

Re: Dark Ages Fae

It's a rule set from White Wolf. Had rules for playing a Sidhe character, a Fae made out of the elements of the world or changelings. Was built around how the Fae worked with the world after man had broken their oaths with them. Had seasonal courts which were all gearing up for a war.

For me, the game was a great chance to play a Fae creature, build up a crew, and a local court with sandbox type of elements.

On an unrelated note, I would be interested in an Arthurian game, and setting.

Re: Dark Ages Fae

The game I could offer would be a low-magic Arthurian semi-freeform semi-sandbox*, set in England during the Dark Ages, but probably in the north of England, well away from the influence of Arthur and his Knights - they will exist as chrome only.

There may be border conflicts with the Scots and/or Welsh and/or Viking raiders, characters may stumble across Fae creatures who have inadvertently crossed gateways from the Otherworld, and a few, very few, people, (half-bloods, perhaps) will have some Fae powers and be known as wizards or enchantresses.

In order to create game balance, however, most PCs and NPCs would have to be human. There's no way I can run this game with four wizards, two satyrs and a fighter...

Any interest?

* Semi-freeform = simple chargen with basic rules for combat, magic and chance outcomes, otherwise freeform storytelling interaction.

* Semi-sandbox = The GM will have an overarching plot, a 'probable destiny', which character actions may influence or perhaps alter.

Re: Dark Ages Fae

Sounds like it could be really interesting to flesh out a new area, attached the the Legend but not replaying it. I definitely get the balance requirement. Once your game is up, send me a link.

Thanks.

Sounds rather interesting.  Did this come to pass?

In reply to phorcys (msg # 7):

Did you mean the OP's request or my offer? I'm trying not to poach this thread, but if you're enquiring about my offer, it will take me a few weeks to get it up and running. I'll send you a link when it's at recruitment phase if you like.
