Seeking Dark Fantasy free-form game

So, I would very much enjoy a dark fantasy game, solo or multiple players; whatever works. Maybe with some horror elements, to give the setting an edge. I can't seem to find a good game along these lines, and when I do, it typically falls apart at the seams. I prefer free-form, as rules and numbers and dice rolls remove a lot of the immersion for me, I personally enjoy the story and RP aspect much more. If anyone could point me in the right direction, or if someone is willing to perhaps GM a game, it would be much appreciated.

Also, as far as setting is concerned, I'm very open to ideas. If it matters, demonology and mythology are of particular interest. I'm a bit iffy on sandbox-esque games; as I said, I'm big on story, so guided plot lines is a plus.

Dark as in you play an evil character?

Can you clarify your tastes in dark fantasy a little bit further? Are we talking dark high fantasy? Gritty low fantasy? Contemporary urban fantasy? Something more like Silent Hill? Apocalyptic fantasy?

Re: Seeking Dark Fantasy free-form game

Dark as in it has a darker tone to it; essentially, less typical 'hero's journey' cliches and more of a cynical, morbid take on fantasy.
And as for my taste, ideally, dark high fantasy with realism in play. For example, magic exists, but mages who stray from a strict code are ostricized and hunted. Other races exist, but racism and slavery are a thing. I suppose a high fantasy world, seen through a jaded and cynical light.

Low fantasy is virtually interchangeable with high fantasy in that regard as well.

Re: Seeking Dark Fantasy free-form game

Okay.

I can't promise more than 2 posts a week IC.

I'm a Story-teller type player (http://www.darkshire.net/jhkim...dels/robinslaws.html) and as a GM I like character driven plots - so I would take personalities and backgrounds, provide rich NPCs, and stew plots from that rather than take a story and insert the PCs into it. It does mean the starting plot might be flimsy until the layers start to stack up.

If you search for my games (take 'requesting players' tag off) I have two mature games with group 0 threads you can check out.

If you like me and the post rate is okay for you, I'll put a game concept/proposal together.
