Any interest in playing/GMing a game where certain heroes have vanished, and the PCs are their replacements? How and why did it happen? What will the PCs do when they run into their arch enemy but they've never met them before? What about the heroes who's significant others love their costumed identities?

My thoughts for a system are either TSR/FASERIP, DC Adventures/M&M 3.0, or Marvel Heroic Roleplay, but happy to discuss.

Rating is unimportant. Adult rating is fine, so long as the game isn't devoted solely to men RPing lesbians, if you catch my meaning.

Exactly. What if an alien is chosen as Sorcerer Supreme, or certain heroes just vanish in some galactic struggle, but some omnipotent force (and there are plenty of them) chooses unsuspecting people a la Hal Jordan do take up the mantles?

I might be down for FASERIP, depending on hero selection.

I'd be down for the plot, and I'd prefer Mutants and Masterminds first, or Marvel Heroic as secondary. I've never played the FASERIP system but could probably be convinced.

Sounds like it would be a lot of fun. I also prefer M&M don't have much experience with the others. But I am up for learning

I'd be interested if you used FASERIP (Marvel Classic) and there was good hero selections available.

The FASERIP rules are readily available for free online, as is a massive database of character write-ups for both Marvel & DC depending on the preference of whoever might want to run this. PM me for a link.

I would prefer Icons as the system, since I find it a streamlined FATE-y version of FASERIP. Failing that, I can do DCA, Marvel Heroic, or, yes, even FASERIP.
