Mutants & Mastersminds 3 DC Heroes, curious origins idea...
Any GM want to take a crack at this one in a mature or adult setting?
We all like comic books and superhero movies, but nobody thinks for a second that those things are real. Superpowers, after all, defy laws of physics and biology. Comics, in their way, extend the hero myth for our own time, full of impossible characters facing impossible situations. Heroes fire our imagination and inspire us, even as we know they could not possibly exist.
And yet, through the walls of reality, several objects of mystical power have materialized in this world. Small figurines, representing characters from a well-known comics universe, appear on display in a local comic shop. Those who touch them find themselves physically changed into those very heroes. Powers that should not be possible become very real. Ordinary people become gifted with immeasurable, becoming gods on earth. What will they do with their new-found powers? Will they live up to society's expectations of such well-known heroic archetypes? Or will they use their powers to more selfish ends, settling old scores and winning wealth, power and fame for themselves.

This is a rules-light DC Adventures/MnM3 game. Players will play people in our world who turn into the canon characters of the DC universe. Stats will be drawn directly from the Heroes and Villains guides (players do not need access to these). Emphasis will be on adjusting to a new life as a hero.
