If you would be interested, I could use some one to be on the bad guys side to join up with the crew of my mage game.
They are a little to welcoming to PCs and some NPCs and would like to shake them up a bit. So a char undermining them from the inside would be a good twist to things.
You would get merits like iron will for free, and should you wish for demonic investments.... rather your playing a demon worshiper or one that just draws on there power... I would give you the one that hides your demonic taint for free too.
Can help you with the system and some of the background...
Basically though the cycle of things makes the universe end and start over again as god/universe is born into the nothingness then brakes apart becoming everything... when humanity can't find harmony and god within themselves eventually that nothings brakes down the universe taring into it and devouring it all at once. It then slumbers again in oblivion... it's sated state leaves it unaware all is not lost and god/universe/whatever is born again from the fragments as they come together in the nothingness and it happens over and over....
from a scientific look big bang -> big crunch -> big bang -> big crunch... over and over with humanity expected to inherit things and fucking everything up every time. (not that they are the only ones but they are the ones expected to save the day)
There are two big bad guys and groups in the game:
One is pledged to the nothing that came before and has given his name and soul and all his being to them for power. He plans to end the cycle, for life only has a meaning because it has an end, as is all things... this is there believe... that all things must end and the universe is included in this. Otherwise everything anyone dose is with out a point if it's just going to happen over and over again. But even if there is a cycle then the first and last have meaning all a sudden when you end it. They will slow the death of the universe seeing that it dies out bit by bit, devoured slowly till NOTHING is left, and they will rule like gods over this dying universe till they too become a part of the nothing that fills them and is a part of everyone. (again, or so they believe)
In other words they want to cause the heat death of the universe.... a red shift.... push things past the point of no return when entropy spirals out of control.
The other group is lead by an angel of all things... her view is that humanity has failed to save itself and failed to save the universe, and these contaminated monsters in human flesh have won and they only way to stop them is to hit the big red reset button NOW. She is accelerating the death of the universe trying to cause the end of it before the point of no return the others are trying to induce is reached. They feel the world has been to corrupted and there is no saving it. Like a patent with gangreen the only way to save them is to cut away the corruption. In this case this means cutting away everything but the source, god must return and make things right and this can only be when all other things die... he will be reborn in the darkness as always and the universe will be made anew.
They want to cause the next big crunch -> big bang cycle to happen now in order to save the cycle. They believe the universe is lost and they must sacrifice it to save the cycle, and the hope of any life at all.
The group don't know much but of course there stance is to find a way to stop both.
