Post Apocalyptic Tribal Society

I caught an ad for a show called The 100, which features a post apocalyptic society, with a tribal/barbarian culture. The show itself doesn't interest me, but the idea of a post apocalyptic tribal culture does, which has also been featured in games like Fallout, and there was also a series by SM Stirling that sort of touched on this. In particular, I'd like to roleplay as a member of a tribe with distorted views of the past (such as viewing the 'ancient' Americans as gods, and viewing things like the Washington Monument as holy sites, and the like).

Adventures would follow characters just trying to survive, while also participating in war against rival tribes, raids against more advanced cultures and quests to find 'relics' of the 'old gods.'

Anyone willing to give this a shot? I'd be willing to co-GM if necessary.

I am willing to give this a try in any system. Would prefer Fate, freeform, something simple or maybe Savage Worlds. I suppose even any version of DnD could be used, too, provided there was no magic or if magic was reskinned or reflavored.

Re: Post Apocalyptic Tribal Society

I am totally down to run this.

The ideal set up for me to host a game such as this would involve the use of Other Dust and Stars Without Number. Using my favorite game system and keeping it rules-lite and easy to integrate other retroclone stuff seems like a natural way to go with this. There are books in these systems called "Relics of the Lost" and "Dead Names: Lost Races and Forgotten Ruins" and more. It encourages Sandbox gaming.

Also, I am a total sucker for that show.
