RossN:
That said I love the setting. If anything I'd advise a GM to go with a straight, serious plot (ie. a murder mystery, like in Feet of Clay) and tweak it a little to make it more Discworldy. Don't be afraid of adaptation either - there is a lot of Shakespeare in Wyrd Sisters for instance.
So would the people at sjgames. Actually the book is rife with suggestions like that. I feel confident in my Pratchettese to run it if I can ever either set up a Fate Core game or get my 4E GURPS conversion up/running/complete.
It would either be:
1) During Snapcase's reign as I described in my previous post.
2) Thee Othere Syde of thee Dysk (Inspired by The Last Hero) I thought: Why not just run a game on some of the communities on the edge of the world that have no exposure to the likes of Ridcully or Vimes, yet have similar equivalents, much like Fourecks does?
3) or a game where Dibbler decides he's too old to run it on his own and decides to enfranchise, (I'm sorry, but I HAVE to call that one
A Fist Full of Dibblers) taking a cut for himself in exchange for the right to use the name Dibbler. I could definitely see that one going all Time Monk-ey and explaining where there were Dibhalas and Diblangs all over the place. And since we probably won't get any sort of official word on the subject it seems like an appropriate send-off (even if it is a little late coming).
