Alright, so, Rogue Trader.  It's a game I've long had a deep love of for the openness and bonkers/crazy nature of just getting out there and being mad and over the top (often without any real morals).  It's gong into the deepest, darkest and most dangerous regions of the Expanse in search of wealth, power and riches beyond measure.

What I'm asking for is a GM willing to run such a game, fr a dynasty that's way over onthe shady side of things and so has decided being away from the main body of the Imperium might be good for their long term health.  A dynasty that has no qualms in dipping into borderline heretech, genetic engineering, Xenos artifacts.. you name it, short of direct involvement with the Chaos Gods, they've done it.

So, any interest? :)

I'm always interested in a good RT concept, at least as a player, so chalk me up as interested in playing. I'm also happy to help out a prospective GM with the mechanical side of things, which can be daunting...

Any further thoughts on direction? I think using RT to play a non imperial non chaos scavenger/pirate theme might be interesting. Lots of xeno interaction and skirmishes, all the fun of playing an underdog, and none of the usual restraints of being imperial or chaos(like being insufferable, for instance)

I am liking the sorts of themes you've suggested. :)  Sort of a cross between Pirates of the Caribbean and Firefly, though with a crew that may not have such a 'nice side' to them.  That said, people who are plain evil often fall flat, so being pretty grey works well.

Heck, given the nature of the Imperium, we might be nicer in some ways then the people we're avoiding, and we'd be talking to Xeno races a whole lot more.

I've got two friends who're new to the system who'd love to play some Rogue Trader. I wouldn't mind, either. Hopefully there's a GM out there who'd be interested in running a game!
