I've played DnD before with family, but never online and not in quite a while. I would love to get back into it but don't want to be "that player" who's doesn't understand anything in a more serious game. If anyone has a game that's geared more towards newbies (like myself) I would love to join.

As a suggestion, you may want to identify what edition of the D&D rules you are familiar with.

I'm not, whenever I played with my family (they live across the country) we would use their books and such. I can get access to whichever is mainly be used.

Currently setting-up a second and maybe a third group playing with the Adventure League material using D&D 5E rule-set.
